BEHIND THE SCENES

At the heart of The Gladiator Reimagined lies the power of collaboration, bringing together a range of artistic voices to craft something extraordinary. Michael Amadi worked closely with Nicole Di Gioacchino and Libby Key, co-directors of the Agape Gospel Collective, to shape the emotional core of the performance. Together, they brought out the full potential of the choir, ensuring its harmonies intertwined with the orchestral elements. Gospel pianist and producer Linden Grant played a vital role, contributing his musical expertise and production skills to refine the choir’s sound. THE ENSEMBLE

The ensemble for The Gladiator Reimagined was designed to blend cinematic elegance with the emotional resonance of gospel. Michael Amadi wrote the arrangement, bringing together a unique combination of instruments: two flutes, two clarinets, and three cellos. This carefully crafted orchestration created a rich, layered soundscape that complemented the choir’s powerful harmonies. The interplay between the woodwinds and strings added depth and emotion, giving the piece a timeless yet fresh interpretation of Hans Zimmer’s iconic composition.
